Peer support is not therapy.
Nouveau Connexion offers peer support, mentorship, workshops, and self-guided resources rooted in lived experience. We are not licensed mental-health professionals, medical providers, or crisis responders. Nothing on this website — including free workbooks, courses, blog posts, and paid sessions — is a substitute for professional diagnosis, treatment, or therapy.
When to seek professional care
Please contact a licensed clinician, primary-care provider, or emergency services if you are experiencing:
- Thoughts of suicide, self-harm, or harming others
- Active substance use crisis or withdrawal
- Psychiatric symptoms requiring medication or diagnosis
- Abuse, domestic violence, or immediate safety concerns
- Any medical emergency
Confidentiality limits
Sessions are confidential within legal limits. Peer supporters must report imminent risk of harm to self or others, and any disclosure of abuse involving a minor or vulnerable adult, per applicable law.
